Malcolm Cherry

I am running for the 17th District State Representative because we need someone with a strong devotion to God, family, and the community, who has the courage to stand up to do what is right for our district. I promise to champion policies that help Kentucky's hard working families, and am committed to ensuring that every voice is heard and represented with honor.

Lately, I have had grave concerns about things happening in Frankfort, where current policy makers want to change the retirement system for state employees, teachers, fire fighters, police, and highway workers. I find the proposed changes unacceptable. The state of Kentucky made a promise many years ago and "a promise made should be a promise kept."

If given the privilege to serve as the next 17th District State Representative in the Kentucky House of Representatives, I will work hard to assist the veterans and hard working families of Butler and Warren Counties. I pledge to listen to and work closely with the citizens, businesses, and farmers of the 17th district, as we strive to improve our economy, bring good paying jobs, and high quality educational opportunities to our communities. Our district needs a strong voice in Frankfort, if elected I vow to serve our district with the honesty, morality, and integrity that our people deserve.

Sincerely,

Malcolm Cherry
